Dr. Eun Hee Koo, Professor and President of Adroit College, received her B.A. in Korean Language and Literature from Sungshing Women’s University in Seoul Korea. She received her M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) from Adelphi University, and her Ed.D. from the University of Houston, Texas. Since then has been very active in the Korean Teaching Community.
Formerly an Assistant Professor of Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language (TKFL) at the Intercultural Institute of California (IIC), she also founded a credential program with emphasis in teaching Korean at Hope University where she acted an Assistant Processor, Supervisor of Student Teaching, and Program Director. In addition, she was the Vice-President of the foundation for SAT II Korean and is now a test developer and senior examiner for Korean testing for the International Baccalaureate Organization based in the United Kingdom.
She also developed HangulPhonics, software for learning Korean through the computer. The wealth of Dr. Koo’s experiences is demonstrated in the classroom as she enriches the curriculum and programs offered at Adroit College. Her passion for teaching Korean can be easily seen in they ways that she makes learning Korean fun and enjoyable for her students.
