Korean Conversation Class Has Moved

Our Korean Conversational Class has returned to the PALO ALTO campus from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m on Fridays. Previously held at the Milpitas campus, we will be moving to Palo Alto. This class is an excellent opportunity to hone your conversational skills. With fun activities like eating at Korean restaurants, going to noraebang, watching Korean movies and so on, you will practice speaking Korean in real-life settings. We hope you can join us.

Please join us for Winter Quarter 2008! Students will showcase what they have learned in a 5 minute presentation in Korean. Family and friends are encouraged to come. An award ceremony will be held at the conclusion of the event, where students will receive a certificate of completion from the Adroit College President.

This event is a pot luck. Please bring a dish to share, preferably Korean.

Free Class!

Adroit College is pleased to present a FREE Korean Bible reading class taught by Rev. Moo Jin Choi, Pastor of Living Water Baptist Church from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. This is not a Korean Language learning class, but the pastor will passages from the Korean bible and explain them. This is an excellent opportunity and space is limited to 10 students on a first-come first-serve basis. Due to the course’s popularity and limited space, we will need to drop you from the course if you miss two (2) classes without advance notice, we will need to drop you from the course in order to accommodate others on the waiting list. Advanced Beginning 1 (KOR 201) classes will be held on Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m starting January 7th with a minimum of 4 students enrolled.

Come celebrate the Korean New Year by eating Ttuk kkuk (Korean rice cake soup), wearing hanbok (Korean traditional clothes), learning how to bow and playing Yutnori (4 sticks game). It’s a fun way to celebrate one of the most popular Korean holidays.

2008 Sul Nal Party

Adroit College students and their guests celebrated the Korean Lunar New Year on Saturday February 9th at the Living Water Baptist Church in Milpitas. Attendees enjoyed traditional Korean foods such as Ttuk kkuk, a Korean rice cake soup eaten at New Year’s for good luck. They also dressed in hanbok, traditional Korean clothes as they learned the traditional Korean bowing technique and how to play Yutori, a traditional Korean game with 4 sticks.

This year’s celebration was featured on KTVN’s local Korean News. We invite you to watch the exciting story.

Nihongo o Benkyoshitai?

Do you want to learn Japanese? Adroit College is now offering Beginning and Intermediate Japanese classes at both our Palo Alto and Milpitas campuses. We are recruiting students for our Intermediate Japanese class at the Palo Alto campus from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, and Beginning class at the Milpitas campus from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on .

We can also arrange private tutoring sessions based on your needs and the teacher’s availability. We are excited to have a highly qualified native Japanese speaker with education and experience in teaching both Japanese and non-Japanese students on our staff.
